He is risen! Risen INDEED!

As we approach this season of remembering our Lord’s death and celebrating his resurrection, we have many opportunities to come together to reflect and to rejoice.

March 30-April 3 - Holy Week Laity Services 7am. Each year laity (non-clergy) leaders orchestrate morning services for the community. These brief and beautiful services take place at various churches in the community. Followed by breakfast! Schedule is: Monday - St Margaret Mary Catholic, Tuesday - 1st Assembly of God, Wednesday - Arriola Bible Church, Thursday - 7th Day Adventist, Friday - 1st Baptist

April 1 - Passover Seder 6pm. A “seder” is a special service during a special meal. Based in the Passover celebration our seder will acknowledge Yeshua (Jesus), our Passover lamb and the redemption known through him.

April 2 - Youth to Passion Play. The youth group will leave at 4:30pm to head to Farmington. We will swing by Chic-fil-a for dinner (bring money to cover your meal) then to the Farmington Convention Center to watch “He’s Alive,” this year’s passion play. It will be a late night! Students will let parents know when they are on their way home. They will be dropped off at home.

April 3 - Good Friday Service at 7pm. We will be gathering around the cross to share a brief service of scripture and songs along with moments of reflection.

April 5 - RESURRECTION SUNDAY! A day FULL of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and the new life he brings! 7am Sunrise Service at Frazierville (1224 Animas St. Cortez), 9:30am breakfast at church (bring a dish to pass), 10am new life petting zoo, 10:45am worship service, 12pm new life petting zoo and EGGS-travaganza. Come to any or all of these celebrations and invite a friend. Young ones will love Sunday’s celebrations!
